CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – The No. 3 seed Parkland College volleyball team lost in straight sets to No. 2 seed Scottsdale Community College in the NJCAA DII National Tournament Semifinals on Friday, November 17. The Cobras (46-5) were swept for the first time all season by the Artichokes (27-0), losing to Scottsdale in the National Semifinals for a second consecutive year. Parkland could not sustain any long runs offensively, producing a hitting percentage of just .096 in the team's lowest-scoring match of the season. Sophomore

Up next, the Cobras resume postseason play in the consolation bracket at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, November 18, versus the winner of No. 4 seed Johnson County Community College and No. 8 seed Illinois Central College. The winner of Saturday morning's match will play in the NJCAA DII Third Place Match at 3:30 p.m.
