NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The No. 4 ranked Parkland College golf team battled high winds and several NAIA schools on day one of the Purgatory Intercollegiate, placing third after a round one team score of 304 (+16) at the Par 72 Purgatory Golf Club. The tournament hosts, Taylor University, won the competition with a 294 (+6), with St. Thomas University - FL right behind at 297 (+9). Parkland sophomore
Dain Richie led the team after an even-par 72 on Friday, putting him in second, while Cobras
Roo Fenwick and
Michael Addie tied for 13th after round one scores of 76 (+4). The two-day tournament had to be cut short due to inclement weather on Saturday, April 1st.

Up next, the Cobras will travel to Old Hickory, Tennessee, for the Tennessee State University Big Blue Intercollegiate on Monday, April 10th, at the Hermitage Golf Club President's Reserve. The two-day tournament will wrap up on Tuesday, April 11th.
