Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 5 ranked Parkland College volleyball team opened the Parkland Fall Challenge with wins over No. 20 Des Moines Area Community College and No. 2 (DIII) Owens Community College on Friday, September 29. The Cobras (26-3) controlled the first two sets in the match against the Bears (15-5) before the visitors battled back to take set three. Parkland bounced back in the fourth set to secure the win, and the hosts stayed locked in, sweeping the Express (11-7) to close out the day. Sophomore outside hitter
Bri Struck contributed all over the court on Friday, totaling 26 kills, 23 digs and seven aces in the two wins.

"I thought we serviced very well today, and I thought overall we moved the ball around very evenly and had everybody in the offense," Cobra head coach
Cliff Hastings said afterward. "It's important for us to be balanced offensively."

Up next, the Cobras close out the Parkland Fall Challenge tomorrow, September 30, versus No. 6 Kirkwood Community College and Southeastern Community College at the Donald C. Dodds Jr. Athletic Complex. Parkland faces the Eagles (17-4) at 9:00 a.m. and the Blackhawks (15-11) at 11:00 a.m.
