Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. –The No. 3 ranked Cobras volleyball team swept Spoon River College (9-11) at home on Wednesday, September 18th. Parkland (19-1) is on a four match winning streak after suffering its first loss of the season on September 7
th. Parkland moves to 2-0 at home this season.Â

Cliff Hastings said after the win. "
Hailey Warfel did a really nice job at setting. I thought it was more consistent than it has been. Each player has two things they are focused on getting better at, and I saw some of those things come into play tonight."Â

Natalie Alexander led the offense with seven kills, followed by
Hailey Warfel,
Addie Beekman, and
Addie Roesch, who each added five kills. The Cobras produced 11 service aces in the win.Â

"Like most years, we are trying to work on refining things," Hastings said about his team. "This is the stretch of the season where we can afford to focus on some improvements for later on when it really matters in the postseason."Â

Up next, the Cobras host the Parkland Mid-Season Invite, which begins on Friday, September 20th. The Cobras play Des Moines Community College (6-7) at 12:00 PM and Southeastern Iowa Community College (5-10) at 2:00 PM.Â
