SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Parkland women's basketball lost to No. 9 Lincoln Land Community College (19-1) on Wednesday, January 22. The Cobras (12-8) went 7-7 (100%) from the free throw line and held Lincoln Land to 1-14 (7.1%) from three, but were unable to come out on top.Â

The Loggers started the game with a 6-0 run before a
Trinity Harden three-pointer cut the lead in half with 6:52 on the clock. Parkland trailed by seven at the start of the second quarter, but another Harden three-pointer pulled the Cobras within three points. The Loggers followed up with an 8-0 run, and ultimately extended the lead to 11 points by halftime. After trailing 40-29 at the start of the third quarter, the Cobras managed to pull within eight points, but they never got closer than that. The Loggers outscored the Cobras 14-12 in the final quarter, and Parkland fell short 66-54.Â
