Box Score

CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—December 1, 2025— The No. 6 Parkland College men's basketball team wrapped up its annual Thanksgiving Classic with a 1–1 weekend, falling 75–85 to Rock Valley College on Saturday before bouncing back with a convincing 100–50 win over Community Christian College (Michigan) on Sunday. The Cobras now sit at 8–2 on the season.

Saturday, Nov. 29 – Rock Valley 85, Parkland 75

Parkland's rally attempt fell short in the opening game of the tournament as the Cobras were unable to overcome a slow first half. Despite only being outscored by one point in the second half (38–39 ), Parkland's offensive push wasn't enough against the Golden Eagles.

Jaiden Martin led Parkland with 25 points, going 9-of-17 from the field and 6-of-9 at the line. Grant Chamberlain added 9 points and 4 rebounds, while Kodhi McStraw finished with 7 and 3 rebounds. Off the bench, Matt Moore posted 13 points and 9 rebounds, and Chris Bush contributed 5 points.

Parkland shot 48.2% from the field but struggled from beyond the arc, going 6-of-15 (40%), while Rock Valley used early momentum to build a lead that held down the stretch.

Sunday, Nov. 30 – Parkland 100, Community Christian College 50

The Cobras responded emphatically on Sunday, reaching the 100-point mark for the fourth time this season and holding Community Christian to just 23 second-half points.

Three Cobras scored in double figures, led by Jaiden Martin's 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting and Kodhi McStraw's 21 points, which included a 6-of-8 performance from the free throw line. Leirre Collier added 17 points and 6 rebounds, Grant Chamberlain posted 8 points and 7 rebounds, and Nick Harrell provided 7 points off the bench.

Parkland's depth played a major role, with Matt Moore collecting 18 rebounds in 18 minutes of action and De'Shaun Tolever contributing 7 points. Defensively, the Cobras racked up 18 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks.

The Cobras shot 46.7% from the field and went 21-of-26 from the line (80.8%), controlling the game from wire to wire and outscoring CCC 52–27 in the first half. Up next, Parkland will host Kalamazoo Valley Community College on December 3, with tipoff scheduled for 7 PM CST inside the Donald C. Dodge Gymnasium.
