GODFREY, Ill. — September 24, 2025 — No. 8 Parkland volleyball celebrated a milestone night on Wednesday, sweeping Lewis and Clark Community College (25-17, 25-14, 25-14) on the road. The victory was not only the team's 25th of the season, but also marked a historic moment for Head Coach Cliff Hastings, who earned his 811th career win on his 50th birthday—making him the winningest active coach in NJCAA volleyball.
Parkland controlled the match from start to finish, with a balanced offensive effort leading the way. Bella McKinney notched a team-high 10 kills, while Shay McMillen followed closely with 9. Setter Hailey Warfel kept the attack moving with a team-best 28 assists, also adding 6 digs and 4 block assists.
Defensively, libero Anna McEwen anchored the back row with 16 digs, while Addie Beekman chipped in 14. Led by Natalie Alexander and Sammi Christman's 5 block assists, Parkland controlled the net with 20 team blocks. McKinney added 4 of her own, showcasing the Cobras' strength at the net.
As a team, Parkland hit .200 with 37 kills, limiting the Lewis and Clark offensive momentum across all three sets.
Up next, the Cobras will travel to Springfield, Illinois, to compete in the 2-day Lincoln Land Tournament on September 26th–27th.
