Box Score 2 SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — September 27, 2025 — No. 8 Parkland volleyball put together an outstanding weekend at the Lincoln Land tournament, sweeping all four of its opponents across two days of play. Friday, the Cobras earned straight-set victories over Ellsworth Community College (25-17, 25-9, 25-20) and Triton College (25-4, 25-11, 25-12), before defeating Southwestern Iowa Community College (25-7, 25-17, 25-12) and Labette Community College (25-12, 25-12, 25-11) on Saturday to close out the event.
Friday
Parkland opened the weekend against Ellsworth Community College. Shay McMillen powered the attack with 14 kills, while Addie Beekman added 6 kills and 15 digs. Setter Hailey Warfel paced the offense with 32 assists, also contributing 9 digs and 4 kills. The Cobras' front line was strong defensively, as Natalie Alexander tallied 3 blocks to go with her 6 kills.
In the nightcap against Triton College, Parkland kept its momentum rolling with another sweep. Bella McKinney led the way offensively with 12 kills on .550 hitting, while McMillen added 5 digs, 6 blocks, and 7 kills. Alexander chipped in 6 kills and 5 blocks, and libero Anna McEwen anchored the defense with 11 digs. Warfel once again controlled the setting duties, finishing with 10 assists.
SaturdayÂ
The Cobras returned on Saturday to defeat Southwestern Iowa Community College in straight sets. McMillen and Bella McKinney combined for 17 kills, while Natalie Alexander hit .385 with 6 kills and 5 blocks. Warfel dished out 28 assists, directing an efficient attack that hit .341 as a team. Defensively, McEwen and Beekman each notched 14 digs of their own.
In the final match of the weekend, Parkland swept Labette Community College to finish a perfect 4–0 at the tournament. McMillen posted a team-high 13 kills, while Riley Reis added 7 and Alexander 6 with a .364 hitting percentage. Warfel spread the ball well with 28 assists, and McEwen anchored the back row with 17 digs. At the net, Alexander and McMillen combined for 9 blocks to help secure the win.

With the perfect weekend, Parkland improves its overall record to 29-3 and now turns its attention to a marquee Region 24 matchup when they host No. 12 Illinois Central College on October 1st at home.
