Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—February 14, 2026— The No. 8 Parkland College men's basketball team came up just short Saturday afternoon, falling 73–77 to No. 21 Rend Lake College. The loss moves the Cobras to 20–6 on the season.
After trailing 41–26 at halftime, Parkland mounted a strong second-half response, outscoring Rend Lake 47–36 over the final 20 minutes. The Cobras cut into the deficit with improved offensive rhythm and defensive intensity, but the late push was not enough to overcome the early gap.
De'Shaun Tolever provided a spark off the bench, leading Parkland with 17 points on 5-of-7 shooting while adding 6 rebounds. Grant Chamberlain contributed 16 points, connecting on 4 three-pointers, and Kodhi McStraw added 15 points and five rebounds.
Jaiden Martin chipped in 10 points and 3 assists, while Nick Harrell scored 8 points. As a team, Parkland shot 47.9% from the field and 43.5% from three-point range, but struggled to control the glass against a physical Rend Lake squad.
Up next, Parkland returns to action at home on February 18, hosting Lewis & Clark Community College with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 PM CST.
