CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—February 4, 2026— The No. 10 Parkland College men's basketball team delivered a strong conference performance Wednesday night, defeating Illinois Central College 94–77. With the win, the Cobras improve to 19–4 on the season.
Parkland seized control early, building a 55–33 halftime lead, and maintained separation throughout the second half behind efficient shooting and steady execution at the free throw line.
Jaiden Martin led all scorers with 29 points, going 7-for-12 from the field and a perfect 14-for-14 at the free throw line, while adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Chris Bush followed with 20 points, contributing five assists and key plays on both ends of the floor.
Grant Chamberlain turned in a flawless shooting night, finishing 6-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from three-point range for 16 points, while De'Shaun Tolever added 9 points off the bench. Jiovanny Garcia chipped in 6 points, including two three-pointers, as Parkland's depth continued to be a factor.
The Cobras shot 48.2% from the field, 43.5% from beyond the arc, and 85.7% from the free throw line (30–35), capitalizing on scoring opportunities to keep Illinois Central at arm's length.
With the victory, Parkland remains one of the top teams in the region heading into another road test.
Up next, the Cobras will travel to Canton, Illinois, to face Spoon River College on February 7, with tipoff scheduled for 3 PM CST.
