Perrysburg, OH -- August 28, 2026 -- No. 7 Parkland Volleyball started their weekend at the Owens Invitational out strong, beating Edison State College and Clark State College on Friday. The Cobras swept the Chargers and Eagles to improve to 9-0 on the season.
Game 1: Parkland 3, Edison State 0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-17)
The Cobras started out the day strong beating Edison State 3-0 in game one of the afternoon. Alanya Briggs finished with 16 kills while hitting .406 for the match. Reis McFarland added 13 kills of her own along with 9 digs. On the defensive end, Khloe Stear led the team with 15 digs, and Chloe Eeten finished with 29 assists to pace a steady offensive attack while the Cobras hit .347 as a team.
Game 2: Parkland 3, Clark State 0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-15)
In the second match of the afternoon, the Cobras earned another sweep over Clark State. Kendall Stotler led the team with 7 kills while
Lauren Tegtmeyer, Mia Stivers, and Reis McFarland added 6 kills each while Parkland hit .242 as a team. Jillian Schlittler and Berkley Pullen combined for 28 assists in the match while Karaline Vanausdoll and Mia Stivers combined for 21 digs on the defensive end to lead the Cobras to their ninth straight win.
