Champaign, Il -- September 23, 2025 -- The No. 5 ranked Parkland College Volleyball team hosted MWAC opponent Lewis & Clark Community College on Wednesday in Champaign, beating the Trailblazers in straight sets.
The Cobras cruised through the first two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-15. Parkland battled in a tight third set but came out on top 25-21 to sweep Lewis & Clark. With the win, Parkland extends their winning streak to 16 while improving to 25-1 overall, 5-0 in MWAC play, while the Trailblazers drop to 12-9 (2-2 MWAC).
The Cobras were led by
Alayna Briggs, who finished with 13 kills and 14 digs.
Mia Stivers added 8 kills and 12 digs while hitting .238 for the match.
Reis McFarland added 7 kills and 13 digs while hitting .222.
Khloe Stear anchored the defense, finishing with 27 digs to lead the team.
Chloe Eeten finished with 27 assists and added 9 digs while hitting .300 for the match as the Cobras hit .181 as a team.
Head coach
Cliff Hastings commented on the team's season so far and praised they player's efforts tonight:
"I think we've had a really great season. It's been very action packed between tournaments and practices, and being so heavy with freshmen, we've had some adjustments to do. We took a few days off, but I thought we looked very fresh tonight, we looked very team-centric. I was very happy with our aggression and also cleanliness tonight."

The Cobras head to Springfield this weekend for the Lincoln Land Tournament. Parkland will play two matches on Friday, September 25th, facing Hawkeye Community College at 9 AM, followed by Ellsworth Community College at 11 AM.
