Box Score OGLESBY, Ill. – The Parkland men's basketball team won on the road for the first time this season on Wednesday night, defeating Illinois Valley Community College 62-59. Neither team shot very well from the field, but
Josh Rivers came up big for the Cobras, scoring 25 points including a huge 6-0 run late in the game to help seal the win.

The Cobras (4-4) jumped out to a quick 6-point lead early in the game, but neither team shot well in the first half. Each team combined for a 3-25 performance from behind the arc in the first half. The Eagles (4-6) kept it close and Parkland led 25-24 at halftime. IVCC then began the second half on a hot streak, stretching out a lead to seven points with around six minutes left in the game. The Cobras came out of a time out and quickly tied the game at 44, before
Josh Rivers scored six straight points to put the Cobras back on top. The Cobras sealed the 62-59 win thanks to a few big late defensive stops.
A'Kieon Gill hit the final free throw and turned around and stole the ball from the Eagles on the ensuing position to close out the win.
