Box Score CENTREVILLE, Mich. – The Parkland College men's basketball team faced an uphill battle on the road at Glen Oaks Community College on Saturday, December 17th, but the Cobras battled back for an 82-74 win over the Vikings. Parkland went into the game missing three key players due to illness, and the team trailed 40-32 at halftime, but the Cobras (5-5) outrebounded the Vikings (6-7) and forced 15 turnovers on the way to their first road win of the season. Sophomore guard
Sean Ealy led all scorers with 21 points.
Â
"This might be the ugliest win of the year," head coach John Bowler admitted after the win, "but I think we really learned something about ourselves."
Â
"We came out flat against a very talented team at their place and were outplayed in multiple ways on both ends early," Bowler continued. "A lot of teams would have folded and given up at that point, but we didn't. We grinded it out, so, for that reason, I could not be prouder of how we showed grit and determination to find a way to win."
