Weather Adjusts Start of Region 24 Championship for Cobras

Parkland men’s golf opens postseason play early as weather shifts Region 24 Championship schedule

NORMAL, Ill. —April 26, 2026—The Parkland College men's golf team saw its postseason schedule adjusted due to incoming weather at the NJCAA Region 24 Championship Tournament, with play now beginning a day earlier than originally planned.

Instead of the initial Monday start, the tournament kicked off Sunday to allow teams to get ahead of unfavorable conditions in the forecast. As a result, Monday's round has been canceled, and the championship will resume on Tuesday with 36 holes beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The adjusted format sets up a demanding final day for the Cobras, who will look to stay sharp and competitive as they continue postseason play with a condensed schedule.
