NORMAL, Ill. —April 28, 2026—The No. 25 Parkland College men's golf team concluded play at the NJCAA Region 24 Championship Tournament on Tuesday, finishing in a tie for third place after a challenging and weather-impacted event.
Originally scheduled as a two-day tournament, the championship saw an early start and weather delays that forced adjustments to the format. The Cobras ultimately competed across three rounds totaling 36 holes, navigating a demanding and condensed schedule.
Peter Slot led the way for Parkland with a 10th-place finish, while Leif Olson tied for 13th. Cal Johnson added a tie for 16th, and Will Seman finished 18th. Oscar Jarl rounded out the lineup with a tie for 27th place.
Head Coach Nick Berger reflected on the performance, saying, "We didn't have our best this tournament. Definitely stings a little when that happens in a postseason tournament. Very proud of each player for all their hard work and pushing through adversity."
