The #2 ranked Parkland Cobras volleyball team took a perfect 3-0 conference record into the M-WAC Tournament, hosted by Lincoln College in Lincoln, IL. The Cobras had three matches today vs #5 Lincoln Land, Lincoln and Lewis & Clark.
In the first match, the Cobras faced the Lincoln Land Loggers and won 3-1; 25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19. Fia Willis and
Alivia Dew each had 14 kills, and Willis also had 22 digs.
Bailee Dunne notched 26 digs, and
Leah Anderson had 34 assists, 9 digs and 6 kills.
Gillian Jones had 9 blocks, and
Gabby Morrow had 8.
In the second match, PC swept Lincoln 25-17, 25-14, 25-11. Willis had 22 kills,
Gillian Jones had 10, and Dew had 9. Jones notched 5 blocks while Morrow had 4. Dunne had 16 digs, and Anderson collected another 44 assists.
In the final match of the day, PC defeated Lewis & Clark 25-10, 25-16, 25-13. Dew had a team-high 17 kills and notched 4 blocks while Eloise van Velthooven had 14 kills and 12 digs. Willis had 8 kills and 15 digs while
Maggie Sorenson had a team-high 16 digs. Anderson had 43 assists and 6 digs. Morrow had 5 kills and 8 blocks.
Parkland improves to 38-1 overall and won the M-WAC championship with a 6-0 conference record. The Cobras have the week off before traveling to Springfield this weekend for four matches Friday-Saturday.
