Playing for the first time in nearly two weeks due to the poor weather, the Cobra Softball team came up on the losing end of a doubleheader to Lincoln Land. Parkland lost the opener 10-6 before falling 8-2 in the finale.
Game 1:
PC made three errors leading to five unearned runs and the Loggers banged out four home runs as they scored four times in the 6th inning to get the win. LLCC led 6-2 headed to the 6th before PC would rally with four runs to tie the contest. Unfortunately PC could not hold the lead as the Loggers would answer with four runs of their own to take the contest.
Ivy Nichols had three hits and
Lauren Spelich two, including a home run, to pace the offense.
