CHAMPAIGN, ILL. – The Parkland Women's Soccer team lost a 4-1 match against Kaskaskia on Saturday.

The Cobras jumped out to a 1-0 lead when freshman forward Maria Jorquera kicked in a goal at 44:10.

Kaskaskia's Jalesa Watts scored at 34:10 to tie it up. Gabby Stephens then scored for Kaskaskia at14:03 to make the score 2-1 at the half.

Sophomore Georgia Ward scoped in to try to score at 12:02 but missed high. Kaskaskia's' Fayth Brewer struck twice to at 12:26 and 10:40 for the final 4-1 score.

Goalie Gabi Flores had one save while Kaskaskia took four shots on goal. The Cobras had three corner kicks and three shots on goal.

On Wednesday, Parkland is to host Southwestern Illinois at 4 p.m. and is 0-4 overall.
