Jordan Burge Commits to Toledo

One of six men’s basketball players to commit this season

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College Athletic Department and the Cobras basketball program are proud to announce that Jordan Burge has committed to continue his basketball and academic careers with the Rockets of the University of Toledo.
 
He is one of six Parkland men's basketball players from this year's team who is moving on to the next level, athletically, making a total of 52 who have done so in the past nine years. This past season, Burge helped lead Parkland to a 13-6 overall record. The Cobras finished their 10-game conference slate with a record of 7-3, landing in third place, one game behind co-champions Spoon River and John Wood CC.
 
Burge, from Cleveland, Ohio, appeared in 18 games during his career as a Cobra, averaging 8.3 points per game and shooting 44.4% from the field and 55.2% from the line. The Cleveland Heights Lutheran East High School alum averaged 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while producing 10 steals and 4 blocks. On Feb 11 vs. Bryant & Stratton he secured a double-double (10p/10r), and on Mar 4 vs. Illinois Central he scored a season-high 18 points to go along with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
 
The University of Toledo competes at the NCAA Division I level and is a member of the Mid-America Conference. The campus is located in Toledo, Ohio.
 
Burge is the son of Ivy Burge and Jeramie Burge. His academic pursuits include Business Management.
