Cobras Softball Team Sweeps Their Three Opponents on Monday

The Cobras score 20 runs in three games on Monday

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 TITUSVILLE, Fla. – The Parkland College Softball team had a quick turn-around after weather delays pushed back their Sunday games until later in the night, but the Cobras looked as sharp as ever going 3-0 on Monday in Florida. The Cobras defeated Anoka-Ramsey Community College 9-0, took down Rowan College of Gloucester County 2-1, and beat Alpena Community College 9-0 in the afternoon. Parkland has now won four of its last five games.

Up next, the Cobras play two games against Dakota County Technical College and one against North Central Missouri College on Tuesday, March 15th, before having a day off on Wednesday.

Game 1: Parkland College 9, Anoka-Ramsey Community College 0

The Cobras (7-12) got an excellent performance from Jaidi Davis on the mound in their first game Monday, allowing just one hit and striking out six batters in five innings of work, and Parkland drove in eight runs in the fourth inning to secure the 9-0 win over Anoka-Ramsey Community College.

Kaylee Warren (2-2, RBI, 2 R) got the scoring started with a solo home run in the third before the offense exploded, scoring five runs in the fourth before recording an out. Warren and Lizzy Davis (2-2, 2 RBI) both had multiple hits for Parkland and six different Cobras drove in a run in the win.

Game 2: Parkland College 2, Rowan University 1

The Cobras saw another fantastic pitching performance in their second game of the day, as Emily Senjan (1-1) allowed just three hits over seven innings against Rowan University, striking out five along the way. Zoey Clark (2-4, RBI, R, SB) drove in the first run of the game in the top of the fifth on a one-out double. She later scored in the same inning on a wild pitch and the Cobras led 5-0 after five. Rowan University got one back in the bottom of the seventh on an error, but Parkland limited the damage and got the 2-1 win.

Emily Senjan (2-4) didn't just have a great day in the circle, as she was also one of the three Cobras to record multiple hits in the game (Senjan, Kaylee Warren (2-3) and Clark).

Game 3: Parkland College 9, Alpena Community College 0

A great day of pitching for Parkland College continued in their game against Alpena Community College, as Chayse Ramey allowed just one hit and zero runs in her five innings of work. The Cobras offense got off to a hot start and didn't cool down, leading 4-0 after two innings and driving in four runs in the 5th to lock up the 9-0 win in five innings. The Cobras outhit the Lumberjacks 14-1 on their way to their third win of the day.

Taylor Dugger (2-3, 2 RBI) and Casey Mandrell (2-3, 2 RBI, HR) each drove in two runs and four different Cobras recorded one RBI in the win at Chain of Lakes Park.
