Box Score 2 GODFREY, Ill. – The Parkland College Softball team swept another conference opponent on the road on Monday afternoon, taking down Lewis & Clark Community College 3-0 in the first game and 9-0 in the second.
Chayse Ramey and
Jaidi Davis both pitched complete-game shutouts as the two allowed a combined four hits over 14 innings. The Cobras have won five of their first six conference games, all on the road.

Up next, the Cobras travel to Park Hills, Missouri for a doubleheader against Mineral Area College on Tuesday, March 29th. First pitch against the Cardinals will be at 2:00 PM.

The Cobras (16-13) looked locked in early on when
Kendyl Ring doubled in the first at-bat of the game, but it wasn't until
Casy Mandrell doubled in the top of the 4th that the Cobras struck, taking a 2-0 lead.
Chayse Ramey (7.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 10 K) didn't allow a hit until the 5th inning, as she was lights-out in the circle all afternoon.
Kaylee Warren's home run in the top of the 7th was the cherry on top of a 3-0 Parkland win.

Mandrell (1-3, 2 RBI) and Warren (1-1, HR, RBI) drove in the runs for the Cobras but
Anna Walker (2-2, R, BB, 2 SB) led the team in hits and stolen bases.

After a solo home run by
Anna Walker in the top of the 2nd inning, the Cobras took that 1-0 lead deep into the ball game thanks to another outstanding performance, this time by freshmen pitcher
Jaidi Davis. The Effingham native allowed just three hits in her first career complete-game shutout, striking out seven along the way. Parkland notched five runs in the 6th, capped off by a
Madison Vogel solo home run, and three runs in the 7th, and the Cobras coasted to a 9-0 conference win.

Anna Walker (3-4, 2 RBI, HR, 2 R, SB) and
Madison Vogel (2-3, RBI, HR, R) each went deep and
Lizzy Davis (1-3, 2 RBI, R) tripled while
Emily Senjan and
Casy Mandrell each had a pinch-hit RBI in the Cobras fourth straight win.
