Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College Softball team welcomed Illinois Central College to Champaign for a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon, winning the first 4-0 before losing the second 5-0 to the Cougars. Sophomore pitcher
Chayse Ramey struck out 12 batters in a complete-game shutout for her 13th win of the season on Sunday. The Decatur native allowed just four hits over seven innings in the game one.

Up next, the Cobras will host Lewis & Clark Community College in a conference doubleheader on Monday, April 11th. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 PM.

The Cobras (22-15) jumped out to an early lead thanks to an
Anna Walker home run in the 1st inning. Walker's home run was just the beginning, as she went deep again in the 4th and
Lizzy Davis went yard in the 5th to put the Cobras up 3-0 over the Cougars.
Taylor Dugger walked in a run in the bottom of the 6th and Ramey did the rest in a 4-0 Parkland win over ICC.

Chayse Ramey (13-7) was dialed in from the circle all afternoon, allowing just four hits and zero runs while striking out 12 over seven innings. Offensively,
Anna Walker (2-2, 2 HR, 2 RBI, BB) led the way with two solo home runs and
Lizzy Davis (1-3, HR, RBI) added one of her own.

Game 2: Illinois Central College 5, Parkland College 0

The Cobras found themselves on the other side of a hot start in game two, as Illinois Central launched a two-run home run in the top of the 1st inning. The Cougars added to their lead in the with an RBI double and a bases-loaded walk in the 4th and an ICC RBI single in the 5th put them up 5-0. Parkland was held to just three hits as the Cobras dropped game two 5-0.

Anna Walker (2-3) continued her strong day at the plate for the Cobras and
Taylor Dugger (1-3) singled in the bottom of the seventh in the loss.
Jaidi Davis (4-6) was credited with the loss for Parkland as she gave up seven hits and four earned runs over five innings of work.
Emily Senjan (2.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER) relieved Davis in the 6th, shutting out the Cougars' offense over two innings.
