The Cobras trailed for most of the first game before tying it up in the sixth and taking the lead in the seventh, and
Chayse Ramey pitched another gem in the second game, shutting out the Blazers in her second appearance of the day.
Taylor Dugger led the Parkland offense, driving in three runs in game one.

Game 1: Parkland College 7, Lincoln Land Community College 4

The Cobras (21-14) surrendered a two-run home run in the bottom of the 1st to the Loggers, but Parkland's problems didn't end there. A Lincoln Land two-out two RBI single in the 2nd put the Cobras in an early 4-0 hole. Parkland's
Anna Walker and
Reagan Cheely scored in the top of the 4th to cut into the Lincoln Land lead. The Cobras struck again when redshirt sophomore
Taylor Dugger scored on an error in the top of the 6th before an
Eden McAvoy sacrifice fly drove in
Lizzy Davis to tie the game at 4-4. In the top of the 7th
Lizzy Davis hit an RBI infield single and Dugger drove a two RBI double into centerfield and Parkland escaped game one with an exciting 7-4 win.

Emily Senjan (4-1) started the game for the Cobras, going two innings and allowing four runs on four hits while striking out three.
Chayse Ramey (5.0 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 9 K) earned the win for Parkland in a relief appearance.

Taylor Dugger (1-3, 3 RBI, 2B) led the Cobras in RBIs while
Reagan Cheely (3-4, 3 R) gave opposing pitchers trouble all afternoon.
Lizzy Davis (2-4, 2 RBI, 2 R) and
Anna Walker (2-4, 2 R) both scored twice in the win.

Parkland's defense shut down Lincoln Land in the second game, in large part thanks to
Chayse Ramey (12-7) in the circle. The sophomore from Decatur threw a complete game shutout, striking out eight while giving up just four hits. The Cobras took the lead in the top of the 3rd on a
Zoey Clark (1-2, RBI, R, BB) sacrifice fly. Parkland's offense didn't produce again until
Madison Vogel (0-2, 2 BB) hit a ground ball to third and Clark scored on an error in the top of the 7th to give Parkland the 2-0 win and complete the doubleheader sweep.
