Cobras Lose 5-1 at No. 12 South Suburban College

Parkland falls in South Holland on Sunday

Box Score SOUTH HOLLAND, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team dropped a game on the road at No. 12 South Suburban College on Sunday, August 3rd, losing 5-1. The Cobras (1-3) took the first lead of the game in the 43rd minute on a Lauren Schnepper strike, but the Bulldogs (1-1) bounced back in the second half. Parkland goalkeeper Leire Rodriguez-Najera produced nine saves in the loss.
 
"I wasn't sure how we were going to hold up with a team of just 14 players and having just played on Friday," Parkland head coach Dan Vogelsang recounted after the game. "Unfortunately, the 90-degree weather and increased physical play from the other team got the best of us."
