CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — October 4, 2025 — The Parkland College women's soccer team came up short at home on Saturday, falling 5-0 to South Suburban College.
The Bulldogs struck early, scoring all five of their goals in the first half. Despite the deficit, the Cobras regrouped defensively in the second half, holding South Suburban scoreless after the break.
Offensively, Parkland created multiple opportunities, recording 13 total shots, including 8 on goal. Kameron Lathrop led the Cobras' attack with 5 shots, 3 of which were on target, while Ava Jansen added 3 shots on goal.
With the loss, Parkland moves to 1-7 on the season and will look to bounce back on the road when they travel to Oglesby, Illinois, to face Illinois Valley Community College on Tuesday, October 7th.
