Box Score QUINCY, Ill. — September 25, 2025 — Parkland College women's soccer struck first on Thursday but ultimately fell 4-1 to John Wood Community College.
The Cobras wasted no time getting on the board, as sophomore Jenna Clemmons scored just seconds into the match off an assist from Celia Barkley, giving Parkland an early 1-0 lead. John Wood responded 20 minutes later to even the score, and the game remained tied at halftime.
In the second half, the Blazers pulled away with three unanswered goals to secure the victory.
Parkland produced 11 shots on goal—Alyssa Wells led the attack with three shots. On the defensive end, goalkeeper Nicole Albors turned in a strong performance, recording 12 saves while facing 16 shots on target.
With the result, the Cobras move to 1-5 overall. Up next, Parkland will return home to face No. 19 Lincoln Land Community College on Saturday, September 27th at noon.
