QUINCY, Ill. — October 27, 2025 —The Parkland College women's soccer team earned a hard-fought, double-overtime victory (2-1) over John Wood Community College in the Region 24 quarterfinals, avenging their regular-season loss to the Blazers and securing a spot in the semifinal round.

The Cobras came out strong, scoring twice in the first half to set the tone. Celia Barkley and Alyssa Wells each found the back of the net to give Parkland the early advantage. John Wood answered with a goal before halftime, but the Cobras' defense held firm throughout the second half to preserve the win.

Parkland outshot John Wood 15-12, including 12 shots on goal, maintaining steady offensive pressure while limiting the Blazers' chances.

With the victory, Parkland advances to the Region 24 semifinals, continuing their postseason run.
