Box Score Oglesby, Il -- September 21, 2026 -- The Parkland College Women's Soccer team picked up a massive road victory at Illinois Valley Community College on Monday, winning 11-0 over the Eagles to cruise to their third win of the season.

The Cobra attack began in the first 90 seconds of play, as Alyssa Wells scored off an assist from Lucy Rutledge in the 2nd minute. Rutledge would then hit four in a row for Parkland in the span of ten minutes of play to extend the lead to 5-0. Kameron Lathrop was credited with two assists while Ava Jansen and Addison Finet each had an assist of their own. Ava Jansen would score on a penalty kick in the 32nd minute to make the lead 6-0 at the half.

The Cobras kept rolling in the second half with Tessah Williams finding the net off Kameron Lathrop in the 59th minute, followed by another goal in the 60th minute from Selah Wheeler assisted by Melanie Lopez. Addison Finet would net two more off Alyssa wells in the 60th and 67th minutes, and Melanie Lopez would hit one final goal for the afternoon off an assist from Marely Perez as the Cobras cruised to an 11-0 win.

The Cobras dominated possession thanks to a major offensive attack, as Parkland finished with 35 total shots for the match with 33 on frame. Ava Jansen led the team, finishing with 7 shots, all on frame for 1 goal and 1 assist. Addison Finet put up 7 shots of her own with 6 on frame for 2 goals. Lucy Rutledge added 6 shots with 5 on frame while leading the team with 4 goals, and Alyssa Wells and Tessah Williams each put up 4 shots on frame while netting 1 goal each. Selah Wheeler and Malanie Lopez each finished with one goal for the Cobras.

At the net, Chloe Pluger finished with 3 saves while the Parkland defense shut down the Eagles, holding them to 3 total shots for the match.

Head Coach Chase Bourgasser praised the team's performance Monday afternoon:

"Really proud of the collective effort, especially with all 11 being forced to play the whole 90 minutes. They did a great job of communicating with each other to move the ball and providing defensive support."

With the win, the Cobras improve to 3-4 on the season.
