No. 16 Cobras Explode for Three Wins at Brunson JUCO Jam

BRANSON, Mo.—February 15, 2026— The No. 16 Parkland College softball team delivered an offensive showcase at the Brunson Junior College (JUCO) Jam, earning three victories over the weekend. The Cobras opened Saturday with wins over Milwaukee Area Technical College (18–2) and Allen County Community College (7–5) before closing tournament play with an 11–1 victory over Neosho County Community College.

Game 1: No. 16 Parkland 18, Milwaukee Area Technical College 2

Parkland's offense erupted early and often in the opener, scoring in four of five innings and finishing with 16 hits in the 18–2 run-rule victory.

The Cobras plated 3 runs in the first inning, followed by 6 in the second and 6 more in the third to put the game out of reach.

Maddie Gourley led the offensive surge, going 3-for-3 with 4 runs scored, 3 RBIs, and a home run. Lainey Klokkenga added a 2-for-4 performance with 3 RBIs, while Kaitlyn Helms drove in 3 runs. Lucy Fearday collected 2 hits and 2 RBIs, and Nicole Sinks added 2 RBIs of her own.

In the circle, Fearday earned the win, tossing 3.0 scoreless innings while allowing just 2 hits and striking out 2. Saige Althoff and Lindy Bates combined to close out the game.

Game 2: No. 16 Parkland 7, Allen County Community College 5

In a tighter second contest, the Cobras used timely hitting to outlast Allen County Community College, 7–5.

Parkland struck first with 3 runs in the opening inning and added insurance in the fourth and fifth innings. The Cobras finished with 11 hits in the win.

Lindsey Muskopf had a standout performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs, including a double. Nicole Sinks contributed 2 hits and 2 RBIs, while Ellie Lowe scored twice and added an RBI. Maddie Gourley and Abbey Horeis also tallied hits in the victory.

Lainey Klokkenga started in the circle, throwing 3.2 innings and allowing 2 runs while striking out 2. Lucy Fearday came on in relief, striking out three over 3.1 innings to secure the win.

Game 3: No. 16 Parkland 11, Neosho County Community College 1

The Cobras continued their offensive rhythm in their matchup against Neosho County Community College, securing an 11–1 victory to cap off a productive tournament stretch. Parkland's balanced attack and strong pitching performance sealed the weekend on a high note, as the Cobras totaled 36 runs across their three wins at the JUCO Jam.
