GODFREY, Ill.—April 26, 2026—The No. 16 Parkland College softball team wrapped up its regular season with a split across back-to-back doubleheaders over the weekend, falling to Lincoln Land Community College on Saturday before bouncing back with a win over Lewis & Clark Community College on Sunday. The Cobras now sit at 32–17 heading into postseason play.
Saturday: Parkland 1, Lincoln Land 4
Parkland dropped the opener against Lincoln Land, managing just one run on four hits.
Lindsey Muskopf provided the offensive highlight with a solo home run, finishing with 2 hits and the team's lone RBI. Lucy Fearday added a double, accounting for one of Parkland's extra-base hits.
In the circle, Lainey Klokkenga tossed a complete game, striking out 4 while working through traffic as Lincoln Land plated 4 runs.
Sunday: Parkland 4, Lewis & Clark 3
The Cobras responded on Sunday with a tightly contested win over Lewis & Clark.
Parkland's offense came through in key moments, with contributions up and down the lineup to secure the one-run victory. The Cobras capitalized on timely hitting to edge out Lewis & Clark and close the weekend on a positive note.
With the regular season complete, Parkland turns its attention to the NJCAA Regional Championship Tournament, set to begin May 2.
