Naomi McDaniel led the Cobras with 19 points and 8 rebounds in the win.

The Cobras (3-1) needed to respond after a hard-fought loss to third-ranked Kirkwood Community College on Friday, and respond they did, opening a 20-12 lead in the first quarter.
The Raiders (0-3) rallied early in the second quarter, taking a 25-24 lead with just under 5 minutes until half, but
Rhiannon Skoog took over for the Cobras, scoring 8 of the next 10 points and leading Parkland to a 39-30 halftime lead. Skoog finished with 17 points off the bench. The second half was all McDaniel, who scored 10 points and gathered 4 rebounds, and the Cobras coasted to a 78-55 win in East Peoria.
