Game 1: Danville Area Community College 6, Parkland College 5 (10 innings)

The Cobras (16-13-1) trailed the Jaguars (11-14) 2-0 in the top of the 1st, but Parkland battled back to tie the game at two in the bottom of the 5th. The Cobras then took a 4-2 lead in the 6th before DACC responded by tying the game at 4-4 in the top of the 7th. Neither team could break the tie until the Jaguars drove in two in the top of the 10th. The Cobras were able to get a run across in the bottom of the frame, but it wasn't enough as Parkland lost a 6-5 heartbreaker in extra innings.

Tyler Herron (1-5, 2 RBI, 2B, SB) and Jackson Blemler each brought in two runs and Keenan Taylor (2-5, RBI, R, 2B) drove in one in the first game. Nick Gregory (1-5, 2 R, 2 BB, 3 SB) gave the opposing pitchers nightmares as the sophomore from Algonquin stole three bases and scored twice in the loss.

Mitch Mueller (6.33 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 8 K) made the start for the Cobras, striking out eight batters and allowing just three runs in his appearance. Wil Stockman (3.67 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 4 K) was credited with the loss on Saturday in his relief appearance.

The Cobras tied the game at two in the 4th and both teams drove in a run in the 5th to make the score 3-3. The Jaguars got the last laugh, however, scoring again in the top of the 6th and shutting down Parkland's offense for the rest of the evening to hand the Cobras their second loss of the day.
