ENID, Okla.—May 25, 2026—Parkland College baseball team saw its postseason run come to an end on Monday, falling to East Central Community College 11-18 in 10 innings in the NJCAA Division II World Series elimination bracket.
With the loss, the Cobras conclude the 2025-26 season with a 41-21 overall record after capturing both the NJCAA Region 24 and Central District Championships and advancing to the national tournament in Enid, Oklahoma.
Parkland battled throughout the high-scoring contest, overcoming an early deficit with a four-run second inning and adding 3 more runs in the third to take a 7-4 lead. The Cobras continued to answer East Central offensively, tying the game at 10-10 in the seventh inning before forcing extra innings with a run in the bottom of the 10th.
The Warriors, however, erupted for 8 runs in the top of the 10th inning to secure the victory.
The Cobras totaled 10 hits and drew 11 walks in the loss. Ryan Kondrad reached base 4 times and scored twice, while Matthew Carrano, Cody DelFavero, and Nick Guidici each collected doubles. Carrano and Guidici both drove in 2 runs, and Matt Knapcyzk added 2 RBIs of his own.
On the mound, Parkland used 7 pitchers in the extra-inning battle. Cade Starrick provided a scoreless inning of relief with a strikeout, while Logan Gale tossed 1.2 innings and allowed just 1 earned run.
Despite the result, Parkland closes the year with a memorable postseason run that included a Central District Championship and a berth in the NJCAA Division II World Series.
