The Cobras (18-14-1) surrendered two early runs to the Bulldogs (20-11) in the top of the 2nd inning before both offenses went quiet. South Suburban came into today's game having won 11 of their last 13 games dating back to March 10th and in the 8th inning, the Bulldogs broke their silence, driving in four more runs to take a 6-0 lead. The Cobras responded in the bottom of the frame when
Jackson Moffat punched a 2-RBI single to left field and
Jackson Blemler hit a sacrifice fly to drive in another, cutting the Bulldog's lead to three. South Suburban answered, however, scoring three more in the 9th and handing Parkland a 9-3 loss in Champaign.Â

Reece Rodabaugh (2-2) made the start for the Cobras, allowing two runs and only one hit over two innings while striking out two batters. Sophomore
Jack Snider made his fifth appearance of the season in the 3rd inning, allowing just one hit and striking out two over two innings of work.
Carter Monke allowed one hit over two innings and freshmen
Matt Haley made his seventh appearance of the year in the 8th.Â
