Box Score KANKAKEE, Ill. – The Parkland College Baseball team took down Kankakee Community College on Wednesday afternoon, winning by a final score of 15-7. The Cobras recorded a team batting average of .375 and outhit the Cavaliers 15-10 in the team's fourth straight win.
Nick Gregory scored four runs and
Jackson Moffat finished with four RBI in Parkland's final nonconference game of the regular season.

Up next, the Cobras will host their final conference doubleheader of the season on Friday, May 13th against No. 14 Lincoln Land Community College. First pitch against the Loggers is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

The Cobras (28-17-2) scored one in the 1st, two in the 2nd and the team held a 4-0 lead after
Nick Gregory stole home on a wild pitch in the 3rd. The Cavaliers (41-15) tightened things up in the 4th, driving in three runs to cut the Cobras' lead to just one, but the Parkland offense exploded for nine runs in the top of the 5th to make the score 13-3. The ten-run lead was too much for the Cavaliers, as Kankakee left 17 runners on base and the Cobras earned their fourth win in a row, 15-7.

10 different Cobras recorded a hit on Wednesday, with
Jackson Moffat (4-5, 4 RBI, 2 R) leading the way.
Nick Gregory (3-4, 3B, 4 R, SB) led the team in scoring while
Cole Evans (1-2, RBI, R, 2B, 2 BB) and
Keenan Taylor (1-4, 3 RBI, 2B, BB) doubled in the win.

Carter Monke (2-1) picked up the win in his second start of the season. Monke allowed three runs on seven hits over three and two thirds innings of work, striking out three in the freshmen's eighth appearance of the season.
Jack Young,
Matt Haley,
Mason Sweeney and
Alex Pipes all threw at least one inning out of the bullpen with all four pitchers allowing four runs on just three hits.
