Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College Baseball team hosted Lincoln Land Community College in their final home doubleheader of the season on Friday, losing both games by scores of 4-3 and 6-2, respectively. The Cobras drove in two runs in the bottom of the 7th inning in game one to force extras, but it wasn't enough as Parkland falls to 16-13-1 in conference play. Sophomore
Keenan Taylor doubled in both games on Friday and led the team with six hits.

Up next, the Cobras will travel to Springfield to close out their regular season with a conference doubleheader against No. 14 Lincoln Land Community College on Saturday, May 13th. First pitch against the Loggers is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

Game 1: Lincoln Land Community College 4, Parkland College 3 (9 innings)

The Cobras (28-19-2) (16-13-1) trailed by two after the 1st inning and the Loggers (37-14) (22-8) opened up a 3-0 lead on Parkland after the 3rd.
Cole Evans' RBI single in the bottom of the 5th drove in
Logan Reidelberger and the Cobras scored two in the 7th to tie the game at 3-3 and force extra innings, but Lincoln Land was able to drive in one last run in the top of the 8th and Parkland fell short, 4-3, in game one.

Logan Reidelberger (3-3, R) was perfect at the plate as he and
Keenan Taylor (3-5, RBI, 2B) led the team in hits.
Nick Gregory (2-4, RBI) and
Cole Evans (2-4, RBI, BB) also drove in a run each in the loss.

Michael Sharman (7.0 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 8 K) struck out eight batters while allowing three runs on six hits over seven innings of work in the Freshmen's 11th start of the season. Sophomore
Nathan Righi (2.0 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 3 K) was credited with the loss out of the bullpen. Righi allowed one run on two hits and struck out three in his 12th appearance.

Game 2: Lincoln Land Community College 6, Parkland College 2

The Cobras struck first in the bottom of the 1st when
Keenan Taylor's RBI double gave the home team a 1-0 lead, but the Loggers answered with five runs in the top of the 3rd. Parkland got a run back in the bottom of the inning, but Lincoln Land's pitching staff was able to keep the Cobras quiet the rest of the evening and Parkland dropped game two 6-2.

Keenan Taylor (3-4, 2 RBI, 2B) drove in both of Parkland's runs, as he and sophomore
Nick Gregory (2-4, 2B) both had multi-hit games. On the mound,
Mitch Mueller (5-3) picked up the loss, allowing four runs on two hits while striking out four over two and a third innings.
Wil Stockman and
Alex Pipes made relief appearances in the loss.
