NORMAL, Ill. – The Parkland College Baseball team couldn't get the offense going early in a 5-0 loss to 10th-ranked Lincoln Land Community College, but the Cobras advance in the consolation bracket after a dramatic 6-5 victory over Vincennes University on Thursday night. The No. 3 seed Cobras could not get past No. 2 Lincoln Land Community College, but a 3-RBI night from DII NJCAA Player of the Week
Keenan Taylor helped Parkland get past No. 5 seed Vincennes University.Â
Â
"Survive and advance is the goal, and we did that today," head coach
Anthony Silkwood said after the win. "A lot of contributions from many different players and it is fun to see that."Â
Â
Up next, the Cobras will match up against No. 7 seed Illinois Central College on Friday, May 20th as they continue their postseason run in the consolation bracket. First pitch against the Cougars is scheduled for 3:00 PM at the Corn Crib in Normal, Illinois.Â
