Nathan Righi struck out six batters over two innings of work in the win. Parkland has now won 11 straight games in which they score seven or more runs.

Up next, the Cobras will welcome Vincennes University to Champaign for a doubleheader on Saturday, May 7th. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

Game 1: Parkland College 16, Millikin University JV 5

The Cobras (24-16-2) scored three runs in the top of the 2nd before extending their lead to 6-0 over the Big Blue in the 4th. Millikin got one back in the bottom of the inning, but Parkland drove in two more in the 5th and scored six times in the 6th to give the Cobras a 14-1 lead. The Cobras' offense continued to produce, driving in two more runs in the 7th, as Parkland secured the 16-5 win over the Millikin JV squad.

Carter Monke (2-1) made the start for the Cobras, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six over four innings of work to earn the win.
Nathan Righi shined in his 10th appearance of the season, striking out six of the seven batters he faced.
Sam Myers finished the game in the 7th. At the plate,
Jimmy Rybarczyk (2-3, 4 RBI, 3B, 2 BB),
Keenan Taylor (2-4, 3B, R, BB, SB) and
Tyler Herron (2-3, RBI, 3B, 2 R) all tripled while
Austin Gomm (1-3, RBI, 2 R, BB, 2 SB) led the team with two stolen bases in the win.
