Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College Baseball team hosted a doubleheader against Vincennes University on Monday afternoon, winning both matchups by scores of 15-4 and 10-2, respectively. The Cobras now sit in third place of the M-WAC conference through 28 games after outhitting the Trailblazers 29-10. Parkland sophomore
Jackson Blemler led the team in scoring with four runs on Monday.

Up next, the Cobras travel to Kankakee Community College on Wednesday, May 11th for one game against the Cavaliers. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.

Game 1: Parkland College 15, Vincennes University 4

The Cobras (27-17-2) struck first, jumping out to an early 5-0 lead on the Trailblazers (21-29) in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Parkland scored again in the 3rd before Vincennes got one back in the 4th. The two teams traded runs in the 5th and 6th before the Cobras pulled away with a 4-run bottom of the 7th to secure the 15-4 victory.

Sophomore
Jack Snider (2-1) earned the win, allowing two runs on just one hit, striking out four in three and a third innings of work.
Reece Rodabaugh struck out three batters while also allowing two runs on one hit in the sophomore's 10th appearance of the season.

Nick Gregory (3-4, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R, BB, 2 SB) led the Cobras in hits as he and sophomore
Jayden Gibson (2-3, 3 RBI, 2 R, BB) both led the team with three RBI.
Jake Vitale (1-2, 2B, RBI, 2 R) doubled and seven different Parkland players scored twice in the win.

Game 2: Parkland College 10, Vincennes University 2

The Cobras took a big lead early in the second game on Monday, leading 7-0 after a seven-run 3rd inning. The Trailblazers got one back in the 4th, but
Nick Gregory's RBI single and
Keenan Taylor's RBI double in the bottom half extended Parkland's lead to eight. Both teams mustered up one more run each and the Cobras cruised to the 10-2 victory.

Jackson Blemler (2-2, RBI, 2 2B, 2 R, BB) gave opposing pitchers trouble all day, scoring twice while
Keenan Taylor (2-4, 3 RBI, 2B, R) drove in three runs to lead the Cobras.
Jaden Lamothe (2-3, 2 RBI, R, SB) drove in two and
Tyler Herron (3-4, R) led the team in hits in the win.

Jay Schueler (2-0) allowed two runs on seven hits while striking out ten over five innings of work in the sophomore's seventh start of the season.
Wil Stockman allowed just one hit and struck out four in two innings of relief.
