Box Score 2 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 14 ranked Parkland College Baseball team won two games on the road against NAIA Marian University Junior Varsity on Wednesday, March 29th, defeating the Knights 17-12 and 15-11. The Cobras outhit Marian 24-16 on Wednesday, led by
Austin Gomm. The sophomore infielder totaled four hits in Indianapolis, including two doubles and a home run in Parkland's game-one win. Freshman
Alejandro Maltos-Garcia earned his first collegiate win in game two, striking out three batters in the final two innings.

Up next, the Cobras travel to Quincy, Illinois, on Saturday, April 1st, to resume conference play against John Wood Community College. First pitch against the Blazers (17-9) is scheduled for noon on Saturday.

The Cobras quickly took a 4-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning after back-to-back 2-RBI doubles from
Josh Outlaw (1-1, 2 RBI, R, 2B) and
Angelo Luna (1-4, 2 RBI, 2B), but the Knights answered with five runs in the bottom of the 3rd, and the NAIA junior varsity squad led 7-4 after the 4th. Shortstop
Jackson Blemler (1-2, 2 RBI, 2 R, BB, SB) got the Parkland 5th inning rally started with an RBI single, and centerfielder
Ty Hollandsworth (1-3, 2 RBI, R, 2 SB) put the Cobras back in front, scoring Blemler with an RBI single of his own. Hollandsworth stole home to cap the rally, giving Parkland a 10-7 lead midway through the 5th. The visitors scored three more in the top of the 6th, and an RBI double from
Ryan Snell (1-2, 3 RBI, R, 2B) in the 7th put the Cobras up 17-9, as the Knights' 1-out rally in the bottom half fell short and Parkland won 17-12.

Richie Snider (3.0 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 7 K) faced 15 batters in his second start, allowing just one earned run, and left-hander

Parkland jumped out to a strong start again, opening game two with a 9-run 1st inning capped by an RBI single from
Jake Vitale (1-5, RBI), scoring
Jackson Blemler (2-4, 2 RBI, 3 R, 2B, SB). The Cobras led 10-2 in the top of the 3rd after sophomore
Jaden Lamothe (1-1, 2 R, BB, 2B) scored on a Blemler ground out, but the Knights closed the gap with four runs in the bottom half. Marian cut the deficit to 11-9 in the bottom of the 4th, but sophomore
Austin Gomm (3-3, HR, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R) and freshman
Charlie Marisca (1-3, HR, 2 RBI, R, BB) smacked home runs in the top of the 5th to put Parkland up 14-9. The Knights got two runs back in the bottom of the 6th, but it wasn't enough, and the Cobras won 15-10.
