The Cobras struck first in game one, taking a 9-run lead in the top of the 1st inning, but the Loggers stormed back to make it 9-7 going into the 3rd. Freshman
Chase Becker (1-3, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R) popped his team-leading 13th home run in the top of the 3rd, scoring
Jackson Blemler (2-5, 2 R) and
Austin Gomm to give Parkland a 12-7 lead. Lincoln Land took a 13-12 lead in the bottom of the 4th, but Gomm (4-5, 2B, HR, 3 RBI, 4 R) hit a solo home run in the 5th to tie the game back up. The Loggers regained the lead for good in the 5th, holding the Cobras scoreless for the final four innings, and Parkland lost 16-13.

Parkland grabbed a 3-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning when
Nate Bingman launched a 3-run home run, scoring
Chase Becker (2 R, BB) and
Ryan Snell. Third baseman
Austin Gomm (2-5, 2B, 2 RBI) kickstarted another 3-run inning in the 4th with a 2-RBI single, and Snell (3-3, RBI, R, BB) extended the lead later in the inning, knocking in
Jackson Blemler (2-4, R).

Lincoln Land got a run back in the bottom of the 5th and closed the deficit to just two runs in the 6th, but Bingman (3-4, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R) eased tensions with his second home run of the game in the 7th, and Parkland pulled out an 8-5 win.
