The Stars put two runs on the board in the top of the 2nd inning, but the Cobras answered by scoring four runs in the bottom of the inning. Will Applegate started it off with a triple, and then Michael Carrano Jr. hit him in on a single to right field. Carrano scored on a wild pitch, and then Mark Mennecke and Matthew Carrano got on base. Alex Schimmel and John Shuey both grounded out to bring the runners home, and the Cobras led 4-2 going into the 3rd inning. The Stars matched the Cobras in the top of the 3rd inning, scoring four runs of their own. Parkland scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd when Carrano was hit by a pitch, after working the bases loaded. The Cobras then tied the game after Shuey drew a walk and scored another run. The two teams remained tied until the 7th inning, when the Stars got back on top 8-6. Parkland left a baserunner stranded in its last at bat, and fell to Lansing Community College 8-6.

Parkland scored another two runs before the end of the inning, and Hisle put another on the board in the 4th with a solo home run. The Stars continued to add to their lead, and they were on top 16-8 when the Cobras came up for their last at bat. A John Shuey sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th cut the lead to 16-9, but the Cobras couldn't get any closer than that, and they fell 16-9.
