Box Score MATTOON, Ill. – The No. 16 ranked Parkland baseball team earned an 11-5 road win at NJCAA Division I Lake Land College (26-13) on Tuesday, April 15. The Cobras (24-11) came out swinging early in the game and never looked back, outhitting the home team 14-8 to get their third win over the Lakers this season.Â

The Cobras set the tone in the 1st inning, posting four early runs, including a 2-RBI double by
Adison Worthman. The Cobras continued to control the game in the next few innings, making it 7-0 on an
Andrew Gallegos home run in the 5th inning. The Lakers got on the board in the 6th inning, but they were unable to close the gap as Parkland continued to pile on runs.
Michael Carrano Jr. led the Cobra offense with four hits and four RBI, including one home run, and
Adison Worthman knocked in three runs.
Michael Boyce (0 BB, 2 K) got the win for the Cobras, allowing three hits and two runs over two innings.
Lane Lorton (1 BB, 3 K) started on the mound, surrendering one hit and zero runs over four innings.
