Cobras Sweep Lewis & Clark Behind Strong Pitching

Parkland dominates at home to extend win streak

CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—April 11, 2026—The Parkland College baseball team earned a dominant home sweep on Saturday, defeating Lewis & Clark Community College 8–3 in nine innings and 6–0 in seven innings.

With the two wins, the Cobras improve to 21–15 overall on the season.

Game One: Parkland 8, Lewis & Clark 3 (9 innings)

Parkland pulled away late in the opener, using timely hitting to break open a competitive game.

After a tight start, the Cobras capitalized in the later innings to create separation, finishing with an eight-run performance. The pitching staff held Lewis & Clark to just three runs, limiting scoring opportunities and maintaining control throughout the final frames.

Game Two: Parkland 6, Lewis & Clark 0 (7 innings)

The Cobras carried their momentum into Game Two, delivering a complete performance on both sides of the ball.

Parkland's pitching staff was dominant, tossing a shutout while allowing minimal offensive production from Lewis & Clark. Offensively, the Cobras steadily built their lead, securing the run-rule victory with a balanced attack at the plate.

Parkland's strong showing at home highlighted both offensive consistency and effective pitching as the Cobras continue to build momentum midway through the season.

Up next, Parkland will host Olney Central College on April 15, with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 PM CST.
