CHAMPAIGN, Ill.āApril 11, 2026āThe Parkland College baseball team earned a dominant home sweep on Saturday, defeating Lewis & Clark Community College 8ā3 in nine innings and 6ā0 in seven innings.
With the two wins, the Cobras improve to 21ā15 overall on the season.
Game One: Parkland 8, Lewis & Clark 3 (9 innings)
Parkland pulled away late in the opener, using timely hitting to break open a competitive game.
After a tight start, the Cobras capitalized in the later innings to create separation, finishing with an eight-run performance. The pitching staff held Lewis & Clark to just three runs, limiting scoring opportunities and maintaining control throughout the final frames.
Game Two: Parkland 6, Lewis & Clark 0 (7 innings)
The Cobras carried their momentum into Game Two, delivering a complete performance on both sides of the ball.
Parkland's pitching staff was dominant, tossing a shutout while allowing minimal offensive production from Lewis & Clark. Offensively, the Cobras steadily built their lead, securing the run-rule victory with a balanced attack at the plate.
