CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—April 28, 2026—The No. 23 Parkland College baseball team delivered an offensive showcase on Tuesday, sweeping Moraine Valley Community College in a home doubleheader, 17-4 (5 innings) and 9-8 (7 innings).

With the pair of wins, the Cobras improve to 32-17 overall on the season.

Parkland wasted no time setting the tone in Game One, erupting for 17 runs in a run-rule victory. The Cobras' offense came alive early and never slowed down, overwhelming Moraine Valley with consistent production throughout the shortened five-inning contest.

In Game Two, Parkland found itself in a much tighter battle. After building a lead, the Cobras held off a late push from Moraine Valley to secure a 9-8 win, completing the sweep and showcasing resilience in a back-and-forth matchup.

The doubleheader highlighted Parkland's balanced attack at the plate and its ability to win in multiple ways—both in dominant fashion and under pressure late.

Up next, Parkland will look to end the regular season with back-to-back doubleheaders against Danville Area Community College. The Cobras will travel to Danville on May 1 for games at 12:00 PM and 3:30 PM, before returning home to host the Jaguars on May 2 with first pitches scheduled for 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM CST.
