The #9 Parkland Baseball team took care of business on Saturday as they pounded Lincoln College 11-0 and 12-1 in a doubleheader sweep at Lincoln. The wins move PC to (31-11 17-5) while the Lynx drop to (5-26 3-19). The two teams will wrap up their four game series with a pair of games at PC starting at 1:00. PC would moveback into a tie for the M-WAC lead with a sweep of Lincoln on Sunday.Â
Game 1:
The Cobra blew the game open early with a seven run 2nd inning as they cruised to an 11-0 five inning victory. Winning pitcher
Jarret Olson and reliever
Sean Ferguson combined to two-hit the Lynx while walking three and striking out seven.Â
In the 2nd, Dan Warkentin walked to start the inning and
Alex Steinbach followed with a single. Â
Brent Lengacher followed with a two-run single to get the Cobras on the board.
Bobby Barnard singled,
Brendan Joyce was hit by a pitch to load the bases and
Connor Aube walked to force in a run.
Trystin Raikes delivered a two-run single,
Tyler Paulsen plated a run with an infield ground out, and
Max Downs wrapped up the scoring with a sacrifice fly.Â
PC added two more runs in the 3rd on a Aube ground out and a Raikes sac. fly.
Bobby Barnard's RBI single in the 4th and Downs RBI ground ball in the 5th were the final two runs for PC. Paulsen, Lengacher, and Barnard each had two hits for the victorious Cobras.

Game 2:
It was more of the same for the Cobras in the second contest as PC cruised to the 12-1 win.
Josh Garner went the distance as he allowed just one run on two hits while walking three and striking out seven.Â
Garner would get plenty of support from the offense as they pound out 15 hits in the game. PC got on the board quickly as
Trystin Raikes double scored
Trevor Minder in the 1st. Minder would add and RBI triple and
Connor Aube an RBI single in the 4th as PC pushed their lead to 4-0. Two more scored in the 5th as
Tyler Burthay and
Brendan Joyce each had an RBI. Burthay drove in two more runs in the 6th and
Alex Steinbach drove in the third run of the inning. The Cobras scored three more times in their final at-bat with Steinbach getting one RBI and
Evan Huffman driving in a pair. Minder and Steinbach each went 3-5 while Burthay had 2 hits and drove in three.Â
