Cobras Drop Match in Overtime

Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. Freshman Maria Jorquera scored two goals, but Parkland women's soccer fell 4-3 in overtime against visiting Moraine Valley on Saturday. The loss drops the Cobras to 2-6 on the season.

A busy first half saw five of the seven goals scored, as the Cobras entered halftime trailing 3-2. A second-half goal sent the match to overtime, but Moraine Valley netted the winner 2:40 into the extra period.

Jorquera added to her team-leading goal total with her 10th and 11th goals of the season. Parkland's third goal came off the foot of Mary Woods, her fifth of the season, and assisted on one of Jorquera's goals.

Up next, Parkland travels to Naperville, Illinois for a 6:30 p.m. contest at North Central.
