Cobras Fall 7-1 at Division I Lewis & Clark Community College

Cobras struggle in their third game in six days

Box Score GODFREY, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team lost on the road to Lewis & Clark Community College 7-1 on Saturday. Allie Scally scored the lone goal for the Cobras in what was their third game in six days.
 
The Cobras (4-11-1) came into today's game battling injury and illness, and it showed. The Trailblazers (7-4) were able to score twice in the first half, but they did most of their damage in the second half. With around five minutes to go, and trailing 6-0, Sophomore Allie Scally received a pass from Izzy Fritz and scored in the 86th minute to get one back for the Cobras. Lewis and Clark was able to score one more time before the final whistle, bringing the final score to 7-1. Parkland's goalkeepers Becky Painter (10 saves) and Dana Jarden (10 saves) split time again, with Painter between the pipes in the first half and Jarden in the second.
 
Up Next
Parkland College travels to Bourbonnais, IL on Tuesday, October 19th to take on the Olivet Nazarene University reserves. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
