Cobras Fall 9-0 on the Road Against No. 6 SWIC

Becky Painter with 18 saves in the loss

Box Score BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team lost 9-0 on the road to sixth-ranked Southwestern Illinois College on Saturday afternoon. The Cobras finish the regular season with a record of 4-13-1 (1-4-1).
 
The Cobras struggled against SWIC (14-4) early, conceding five goals in the first half while struggling to get opportunities on offense. Parkland seemed to settle into the game in the second half, but on own goal in the 76th minute was the straw that broke the camel's back. SWIC scored again in the 80th, 81st and 90th minute to make the final score 9-0. Parkland goalkeeper Becky Painter had 18 saves in the loss.
